University of Ottawa Theses and Research Papers

Theses

The Archives and Special Collections (ARCS) acts as the official repository on campus for all master and doctoral theses submitted to the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. There is an exception for the Health Sciences theses which are kept at the Health Sciences Library, Roger-Guindon Hall. Since the University of Ottawa issues diplomas for Saint-Paul University, ARCS also has copies of their non-ecclesiastic theses.

All theses are available in print. A significant portion of them are also available in electronic version and on microfiche or microfilm. Users should expect a delay of approximately one year from the deposit of a thesis at the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies until the thesis becomes available in all formats.

Research Papers

The Archives has retained a sample of twenty-two research papers from the former University Library School (1938-1976). We have kept the research papers from students who worked at the University Library after their graduation. All research papers were produced between 1961 and 1973. Each of them are approximatively fifteen pages long. The research papers are catalogued as books in the Library Catalogue.
